The Data & Information Fusion Defence Technology Centre (DIF DTC) is a General Dynamics UK Limited led research consortium of high-tech companies and universities funded jointly by industry and the MoD. The DIF DTC is one of four defence technology centres which form a key plank of the UK Government's future vision for defence technology development. The Centre's three-year, £30 million Phase II contract, awarded last year, is allowing the team to develop key technologies and explore how these can be used in military and national security solutions for the future. The aims of the DIF DTC are: i) to undertake relevant research at low Technology Readiness Levels (TRL's) and low Systems Readiness Levels (SRL's), and ii) to ensure early exploitation of successful research
